Making a Difference – Outdoor Learning

It has been another amazing year for Outdoor Learning in Midlothian. With usage of the service increasing again and more and more schools engaging in more varied programmes of Outdoor Learning, providing powerful and potentially life changing experiences for our pupils and young people across Midlothian.

As a team we are delighted that we can makes such a valued contribution to the breadths and depth of educational approaches that enable successful learning and attainment in Midlothian.

Midlothian’s mi:SPACE project wins best Pupil Experience Award

We are delighted to announce that Midlothian’s Mi Space project won the award for the best Pupil Experience at the Education Buildings Scotland Conference last night. Karen Hinton and Lynsey Binnie accepted the award on behalf of Midlothian, they presented at the conference today with a group of pupils from Lasswade PS and formerly of Loanhead PS.  Mr Swinney also met with the Midlothian group this morning.
