A group of Gore Glen pupils have been awarded a Scottish Angels Heritage Award for the best contribution to a heritage project. They attended a ceremony on the 14th of October at the Assembly rooms in Edinburgh and they were presented with this award.
As a school, Julie Unrau and the Head Teacher Pauline Marr worked very closely with the National Mining Museum to make last years award winning tour possible. They have made great community links with the museum and this will now continue each year for as long as possible. This is an on going project, they now have the current P6’s training with the National Mining Museum to provide a different guided tour.
