Midlothian’s mi:SPACE project wins best Pupil Experience Award

We are delighted to announce that Midlothian’s Mi Space project won the award for the best Pupil Experience at the Education Buildings Scotland Conference last night. Karen Hinton and Lynsey Binnie accepted the award on behalf of Midlothian, they presented at the conference today with a group of pupils from Lasswade PS and formerly of Loanhead PS.  Mr Swinney also met with the Midlothian group this morning.

Roslin Primary School Youth Ambassadors

Two pupils from Roslin Primary School took part in their first event as Youth Ambassadors. This was a training day at the Young Scot building in Haymarket. It was a ‘get to know’ event with YAs from age 8 to 26 taking part.

Karen Hinton wins Forth Best Teacher Award 2017

Karen Hinton, Primary Teacher from Loanhead PS, was nominated by past and current pupils to be The Forth Best Teacher 2017. A film was made by pupils explaining why Karen is worthy of the award and this was shown at the Forth Awards ceremony which took place at the Usher Hall last week. Congratulations Karen!

A group of Gore Glen pupils have been awarded a Scottish Angels Heritage Award for the best contribution to a heritage project. We attended a ceremony on the 14th of October at the Assembly rooms in Edinburgh and we were presented with this award.
