Pupils at Rosewell Nursery and Primary School enjoyed taking part in a Big Bedtime Read as part of Book Week Scotland celebrations on Friday 1st December. Pupils, staff and parents were invited to come to school wearing their pyjamas and listen to stories as part of their work to promote a positive reading culture. Children were also treated to some chocolate milk and cookies kindly prepared by the kitchen staff. The school are currently participating in the First Minister’s Reading Challenge and are exploring different ways to incorporate reading and storytelling into their daily routine. Thanks to Stephen and the staff at Midlothian Libraries who supported the event on Friday and came along to sign families up the library service.
